Privacy and
your memories.
Your vault is personal. Here is what that means in the current U4eva web app.
Current release · Updated 5 November 2026
Your account and access
You sign in through ChatGPT. The hosting platform provides U4eva with a stable account identifier and your email address, and may provide your display name. The identifier associates your memories with your account; your name or email is used to show who is signed in. U4eva does not receive your ChatGPT password.
Vault pages, memory records and recording playback require sign-in. The app checks ownership before allowing access. Other visitors cannot browse your memories. This release does not offer sharing or public memory links.
What is stored
When you save a memory, U4eva stores its title, your written text, its creation and update times, and its association with your account. Voice memories also store the original audio file and technical details such as its format and size.
Memory records are held in the hosted app’s Cloudflare D1 database. Saved audio files are held in its private Cloudflare R2 storage and served through an authenticated app route. Recordings are not published as public files.
This is privacy through account access controls. It is not end-to-end encryption: the app’s server must access saved content to display or play it, and authorized service operators or infrastructure providers may be able to access data when operating or supporting the service. This release does not provide a Qatar-only storage-location guarantee.
You choose when to record
The app asks for microphone access only after you choose to start recording. It stops the microphone when recording ends or is cancelled. You can listen before saving.
An unsaved recording is held temporarily in your browser’s memory. It is uploaded when you save it, and is discarded when you discard it or leave the page. U4eva does not use browser storage as a permanent memory archive. Save only stories and recordings you are entitled to keep.
Your controls and deletion
You can edit a memory’s title and written text, download an original voice recording, and delete a memory from your vault. Editing a voice memory’s text does not change its original audio.
Deleting a memory first removes access through the app, then removes its stored audio. If file removal fails, the app retains a deletion record for retry and indicates that removal is pending. App deletion does not promise immediate removal from any infrastructure backup or technical log retained by the hosting provider.
Signing out ends access in that browser; it does not delete saved memories. U4eva sign-in does not manage or delete your underlying ChatGPT account.
AI, WhatsApp and technical information
This release does not send your memories to an AI model for transcription, summaries or answers. WhatsApp is not connected and is not required. The fictional sample archive on the public website is separate from your private vault.
U4eva does not use advertising analytics. The hosting and authentication providers may process cookies, connection information and technical logs needed to authenticate visitors, serve the app, and protect the service. Their own policies apply to that processing.
Your story and everyday preferences
Optional ten-question sessions let you record your background, surroundings, learning, relationships and choices. Dates can be approximate, names can be nicknames, and places can be towns or cities. U4eva does not collect your GPS location. You can skip any question.
Saved answers, selected ratings, progress and links to voice memories are associated with your account in the private database. Your portrait shows your own saved answers with their source questions. The optional preference questions use a published, public-domain question set to describe your self-reported habits on five ranges. No preference scores are shown until all fifty rating prompts are answered. Life stories, voice characteristics, locations and skipped questions are not used to infer scores.
These reflections are not diagnoses, fixed personality types, verified qualifications or measures of intelligence. The English question set and its division across five sessions have not been validated for a Qatar population. The method and its sources are available inside the experience. Your answers are not sent to an AI model or external personality service.
You can review, edit, remove and export your answers. Clearing an answer or chapter removes its text and ratings but does not delete an original voice recording already saved in your memory vault; delete that recording separately from the vault if you wish. Deleting the original recording removes access to its playback in the Q&A session too. An empty chapter may retain its revision counter to prevent an old browser tab from restoring removed answers. Exported files are private information that you control after download.
Search, confirmations and snapshots
Ask my story searches saved words, titles and source questions in your own account. It returns original records and recordings, without generating an answer or automatically transcribing audio. Searches are not saved as a conversation history by the app.
You may add an optional event date, mark it approximate, and confirm the version you have reviewed. Confirmation means you reviewed your own record; it is not independent proof that an event occurred. Editing the source makes that version’s confirmation inactive. These dates and confirmations are stored privately with your account.
Each “What has changed?” update is a separate, dated set of ten questions. Earlier updates remain available until you remove them. A new update does not automatically correct earlier answers; use the original source’s edit control to make that correction.
Snapshots are separate copies of the text you have confirmed. Editing or deleting an original memory, Q&A answer or update does not remove copies already kept in snapshots. Remove the relevant snapshots separately if you want those copies deleted. Snapshot exports also retain their text after download. Audio files are not copied into snapshots: removing an original recording makes its playback unavailable everywhere in the app.
You can export or delete individual updates and snapshots. This release supports up to fifty updates and twenty snapshots per account, with up to one megabyte of confirmed text and metadata in each snapshot. Snapshots are private records, not a promise of indefinite preservation or continued consciousness.
A place for the stories only you can tell.
